In the app, children can immerse themselves in the lovingly designed world of Schnipsel. Together with Kikaninchen, they go on exciting explorations and create Schnipsel animals on the farm, invent adventurous vehicles and try them out, or watch their favorite shows from the KiKANiNCHEN television program.

The app is not intended as a game, but rather as a versatile toy and companion: playful exploration and experimentation, stimulating and fun games without time pressure, creative design and music-making are at the forefront. An app that grows with the child and that the child can grow with - without advertising or content that scares or overwhelms preschool children.

The KiKANiNCHEN app is an offer for app beginners, which is based on the developmental stage and needs of young media beginners. In close cooperation with media educators, the offer was developed to provide children with a protected space in which they can gain their first experiences in handling apps. The text-free and child-friendly control of the app is ideal for preschoolers aged three and up.

The (media) pedagogical background:
The KiKANiNCHEN app aims to meet preschool children where they are in their individual stage of development. They are supported according to their needs without overwhelming them. The focus of the app lies in these areas:

<li>Promotion of creativity through exploratory experimentation, research, and design</li>
<li>Playfulness and fun without overwhelm or time pressure</li>
<li>Building self-confidence in one's own actions</li>
<li>Promotion of media literacy</li>
<li>Training of attention and concentration</li>

About KiKA:
KiKA is a joint program of the public broadcasters ARD and ZDF for young viewers aged three to 13.

Under the brand "KiKANiNCHEN," the children's channel from ARD and ZDF offers the best preschool shows from ARD, ZDF, and KiKA on weekdays. For children aged three to six, "KiKANiNCHEN" is "the" offer. Here they can see programs that are tailored to their abilities and needs: stimulating and funny stories and songs.
